Rev. Tatek Kifle, President of the South West Bethel Synod (SWBS), recently visited the Charles Haspels Theological Seminary students in Gacheb. The visit was a time of encouragement, fellowship, and spiritual renewal for both the students and faculty.
During his visit, Rev. Tatek shared a message focused on faithfulness in ministry and the importance of grounding one’s life in the Word of God. He reminded the students that theological education is not only about gaining knowledge, but also about nurturing a servant heart to reach communities with the Gospel.
The seminary community warmly welcomed the president, expressing gratitude for his continued leadership and support of theological education within the Synod. The students also had the opportunity to share testimonies, challenges, and prayers for their future ministries.
Rev. Tatek’s visit strengthened the bond between the leadership of SWBS and the seminary, highlighting the shared mission of raising well-equipped servants of Christ to serve the growing church across Ethiopia and beyond.
“We are deeply encouraged by this visit,” one of the students said. “It reminds us that we are not alone in this journey — the church stands with us and prays for us.”
The event concluded with a time of prayer and blessing over the students, faculty, and the ministry of Charles Haspels Seminary.
